Kelly Scott was born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado. She earned her BA in Journalism from Colorado State University and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver. She currently works for a local pediatric hospital foundation in Community Fundraising. She has also worked in drop-out prevention, child abuse prevention research and domestic violence counseling. During her free time, she likes to take advantage of Colorado’s great outdoors – hiking, backpacking, camping, and skiing. She is currently expecting her first child (a fifth generation Colorado native, boo-yah!) with her husband, Clay. She is probably the worst person to ask for pregnancy advice, as there is a 99.1% chance that she is eating sushi/drinking wine/traveling above elevations of 9,000 feet as you read this.
